A word from our President, Kevin Staley


The New York City HDI Chapter Officers and I welcome you to our website. We strive to provide our Chapter members with the many benefits associated with being an HDI member. ITIL certification and implementation, Software As a Service, Cloud Computing are just a few of the emerging trends having a direct impact on the IT Service and Support Industry. The New York City HDI Local Chapter keeps abreast of these and other trends and ensures we bring those trends to the forefront at our monthly Chapter meetings.

Over the past two years we’ve hosted meetings all over New York City with renowned speakers. Listed below are a sampling of the topics we covered:

If you’re a Help Desk Service Operator, Desktop Support Manager, Operations Support or Project Manager or involved in IT Service and Support, we encourage you to become an HDI member and experience many of the associated benefits. Recently, the National HDI organization has started offering on-line certification courses and, as a member, you will be entitled to these courses at discounted prices. There are varying levels of membership. These can be found by clicking on the “buy online” link on our Join the Chapter tab.

The New York City Chapter participates in the Analyst and Desktop Support Technician of the Year programs. We’re proud to say that our local New York City Analyst of the Year winner has gone on to win the Northeast Regional and National competition for two consecutive years. Needless to say, we believe our chapter provides Help Desk and Desktop Analysts with the tools, trends and methodologies that assist in producing the “best of the best”.

If you’re not currently a member or haven’t recently attended a NYC Chapter meeting, we encourage you to come to our next meeting and network with your peers, gain valuable insight on industry trends and expand your knowledge by attending roundtable forums and listening to the wisdom of experienced, seasoned speakers.

In today’s economy, if you’re looking for opportunities and advancement this is the place to be.
